Coldplay's Viva la vida
if it were by a corporate
Synergy in the spreadsheet glow
Leveraged my bandwidth to go
Amongst the Slack threads I stand tall
My name in the standup call
Yet the backlog runs so deep
And the roadmap hides what we keep
Just one EOD light alone
Stays burning in my heart's own zone
Through the quarterly review night
On the pivot deck I fight
Searching for the way back home
Following the OKR chrome
Though the sprint will eat my day
My commitment holds its sway
After all these sync-ups end
I will circle back, my friend
I will leave this office floor, to the synergy that waits beyond the door
Though I'm crushed by meetings still, I will climb the corporate hill
Though the Slack threads swallow me, I will find my ROI free
Finally I'll reach that dream, where my bandwidth's not a meme
