Cafe Quijano's robarle tiempo al tiempo

You always have your standup face,

A Slack thread and a buzzword phrase,

When someone needs a synergy boost,

You offer both your helping hands.

Hard-working and a team player,

You always know just how to share,

With leverage and with bandwidth talk,

You've got so much to pivot for.

When there's a meeting, you're engaged,

When there's a sprint, you do much more,

And when you start to circle back,

No one can stop your metrics chart!

Twenty years of email trails,

Of effort and of OKRs,

And still you've got that zest for work

That hits us in the heart.

Today we toast you here, my friend,

For all the ways you make us feel,

For every sync, each stakeholder,

For making spreadsheets beautiful.

And though the years keep rolling on,

We're here beside you, come what may,

With countless decks lined up ahead

And lots of reasons to pretend.

Your partner walks along with you,

Sharing the daily Slack with you,

So many sprints, so many stands,

So many blocked-off calendar slots.

Your kids want here to tell you now

Something that fills their hearts with joy:

You're so much more than just a boss,

You're passion, drive, and coffee runs.

Your managers watched you rise up fast,

Guiding your first performance reviews,

And now they celebrate with you

Twenty years of bandwidth burns.

Your coworker, friend so true,

So many things that you two share,

Laughs and spreadsheets, quiet moments

That no one will ever delete.

And all the team here gathered round,

Today we want to celebrate

That having you inside our chats

Is a real gift, no cap.

You've taught us all a lesson here

That we will never forget:

"Don't wait for perfect market fit,

Just learn to dance through the downturn."

And when the quarters turn to gray,

We'll think about your way of work,

Because even in the budget cuts

There's always reasons to smile.

Today we toast you here, my friend,

For all the ways you make us feel,

For every sync, each stakeholder,

For making spreadsheets beautiful.

Twenty years, a thousand Slack threads,

And many more still left to send,

May meetings always have their purpose,

There's still so much left to grow!
